This 1/1 lifesize physical sculpture is hand painted by FEWOCiOUS, and is also wearing a hand made & hand painted suit, and sits in a custom acrylic case (40 inches wide, by 28 inches deep by 82 inches tall).
The buyer of this physical piece will also get a paired NFT of the "Mister MiSUNDERSTOOD" origin story, and will later be airdropped an additional NFT, the first and rarest of many Fewo characters that will be revealed in a series of customizable collectibles dropping later this year.
In addition to this all and the 1/1 suit on the sculpture, an accompanying outfit for the buyer, the first 1/1 hand painted jeans, jacket, shirt, and shoes from the upcoming FEWOCiOUS clothing line drop, are included with the sale as well in a custom suitcase. WARNING: While suit on the sculpture is removable and wearable, we recommend it remains in its case for preservation, though Fewo does hope the winning bidder can wear their Fewo clothes to a dinner with him sometime.
"Nice to meet you, I’m Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD" is a story about freedom, isolation, and exploration. FEWOCiOUS’ first ever life size sculpture captures an intense fear of change, along with a desperation for it. The sculpture wears an enchanted garment, a vibrant suit. The first item of clothing FEWOCiOUS made, and painted, by hand for his first FEWOCiOUS fashion line. The colourful suit represents his complicated relationship with masculinity, while the comics, advertisements, and literary fragments placed throughout the piece represent the more traditional form of masculinity FEWOCiOUS was raised to believe in.
The protagonist of the piece, Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD, embodies deep, personal fears and anxieties FEWOCiOUS has about human nature, and his own mind. Nice to meet you, I’m Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD is a sculpture about defining yourself, and freeing yourself from artificial limitations. It's about finding your place in an unfeeling world instead of hiding in your own head where it's safe. Mr. Misunderstood is borrowing Victor’s first suit, and making it his own.
Following his previous collection "Hello, I'm Victor FEWOCiOUS and this is my life", a veracious retrospective about his struggles with his identity while growing up, this new piece signals the future for Fewo, looking forward into the next chapter of his life as an artist.
